About Cortea

  • Cortea envisions a world where every audit is proactively managed by humans and AI agents collaboratively.
  • Aims to provide auditing professionals with superhuman capabilities to strengthen trust in the world's most critical systems.
  • Redefining how audits are done from the ground up.
  • Features a rapidly growing, global customer base and backing from world-class investors.

About the Role

  • Design at Cortea earns trust, and the company sells to an industry that exists to produce it.
  • The role is approximately 70% product and 30% brand.
  • Product work is deep, expert-facing, and systems-heavy, with a focus on taking core flows to the next level.
  • Brand work includes ownership of the website, marketing and sales visuals, newsletter, event, and content assets.
  • The company is looking for someone with opinions rather than someone to ask whether a logo goes left or right.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Work directly with founders, engineers, and customers to turn audit flows into intuitive, delightful interfaces.
  • Work with Jonas on product design and overall design strategy.
  • Own brand designs and visuals.
  • Evolve visual identity and Design Systems.
  • Take increasing ownership of brand direction, including website, marketing and sales material, content, and event assets.
  • Help shape the product vision, roadmap, and user experience standards.
  • Run Usability tests, build user feedback loops, and bring a systems mindset to design decisions.

What You'll Bring

Product design experience in B2B / SaaS, ideally in fast-moving startups.
Ability to think in experiences, not screens, with defensible taste.
Desire to create a unique brand that auditors love, where identity, marketing, and web act as a draw.
Ability to handle complexity without losing clarity, turning configuration-heavy, expert workflows into clear systems.
Ability to use AI without sacrificing quality, determining which parts of the job benefit from automation and which need judgment.
Ability to work well in ambiguity and deliver great work without handholding.
Low ego, with the ability to give and take feedback.

  • Work face-to-face with experienced founders and learn directly from customer insights.
  • Real influence on strategy within a small team of excellent engineers and operators with high autonomy.
  • Fast, ambitious, and fun team where decisions are made in hours and rapid experimentation is the default.
  • Meaningful equity and competitive salary.
  • Building intelligent systems for a $200bn industry from Berlin, with AI at the core.

Interview Process

  • First Call — Intro on what the company does with Liza.
  • Second Call — Portfolio walkthrough with Jonas.
